Kick Kegels to the Curb
A Guide to Pelvic Floor Health
Brought to your home
If you’ve ever worried about leaking when you laugh, felt pressure or heaviness in your pelvis, or skipped activities you love because you weren’t sure what might happen, you are not alone. It’s estimated that half of all women live with pelvic floor dysfunction, and many suffer quietly out of embarrassment or fear that something is wrong with them.
Here is what I want you to know: these symptoms are common, but they are not normal. Nothing is wrong with you. Your pelvic floor needs the right care and the right education.
Signs Your Pelvic Floor May Need Support
Leaking when you laugh, sneeze, or cough
Urgency to use the restroom
Pelvic pain
Lower back pain
Pain or discomfort with intercourse
Embarrassment about smells, wetness, or carrying pads
Limiting activities you love because of leaking
Worry that something is wrong with you
A properly functioning pelvic floor can help you:
Feel less embarrassment and more confidence
Return to the activities you love, like playing with your kids, laughing freely, and jumping on a trampoline
Experience less pelvic and lower back pain
Reduce leaking
Feel more comfortable with intercourse
Have peace of mind knowing there is a solution
